We believe our customers are unique individuals that deserve their own one-of-a-kind vessel that suits their dreams and needs. That is why we don’t work from a standardized catalogue or a massive production line. We are extending an invitation to clients who understand and value our different approach.

Carlo van Rijssel (CVR) brings years of hands-on experience across some of the most technically demanding vessels in the industry — large offshore sailing yachts, precision fabrication work on multi-million euro moored vessels, complex structural builds that leave no margin for error. The kind of work that does not get repeated without getting it right the first time.
So although we are a new yard, we have a highly qualified and experienced building team. If anything, it is exactly why we are confident in what we are building — and why clients who commission a First Hull Series vessel are getting something unique: no layers of management and production schedules, but direct access to the person responsible for the build.
Chosen for its exceptional weldability, structural integrity, and long-term resistance to corrosion in saltwater environments. Alloy temper and plate thickness are selected per project, based on the specific demands of each frame and structure. We don’t use standard shortcuts on our yard.

You work with Carlo van Rijssel and his construction team throughout the entire build. No project managers acting as intermediaries, no handoffs between departments. Every question gets a direct answer. Every decision is made with you, not handed down to you.
Full creative involvement
Bring your own design brief and naval architect or come with nothing more than an idea. We work alongside your team or connect you with trusted designers from our own network. Either way, the vessel that leaves our yard is shaped by your vision — not by what was easiest to build.
The beginning of a legacy
The clients who commission a First Hull Series vessel become part of CVR Nautical’s founding story. In the same way that early Ferraris or first Porsches are now recognised as more than just cars — as markers of where something began — the First Hull Series vessels will always carry that significance. These are the builds that set the standard for everything that follows.
CVR Series 001
Every vessel delivered under the First Hull Series carries the permanent designation CVR Series 001 — a numbered marker of where it stands in the yard’s history.
As CVR Nautical grows, as the portfolio develops and the yard establishes itself among Europe’s custom build specialists, these first vessels will be the reference point. The ones that came first. The ones that proved what the yard was capable of before anyone else knew. For the clients who own them, that means something that goes beyond the vessel itself.
THE TEN NAMES
TEN HULLS. TEN NAMES. ONE EACH.
Every hull in the series carries a name from the sea. They are assigned in order, and each name is given once. When a hull is claimed, its name goes with it.

THE CONVERSATION
Every commission starts with a conversation — a direct one, with the people who will be building your vessel.
DESIGN & ENGINEERING
We develop the design and engineering package together, taking into account your brief, your intended use, and the full CE certification and conformity requirements for European waters. Nothing moves to the build phase until the design is solid enough to build with your confidence.
THE BUILD
Throughout the construction, you remain as involved as you want to be. Questions, amendments, specification changes — all of it goes directly to the team. There is no queue to join.
CERTIFICATION & DELIVERY
The vessel goes through the relevant certification, inspection and testing process before delivery. What you receive is a bespoke, fully certified vessel built to your specification, documented and ready for use.
