CVR Nautical was born from a simple belief: a modern boat can be uncompromising in both engineering and character.
Our approach brings together Dutch maritime experience, hands-on craftsmanship and a distinctly Mediterranean perspective. Each project is treated as an individual vessel, built around its purpose, its owner and the way it will be used.
We are starting deliberately. Small enough to remain personally involved, and ambitious enough to build something that lasts.
FROM THE NETHERLANDS
TO THE MEDITERRANEAN
The story behind CVR Nautical began in the Netherlands, where a practical, hands-on approach to maritime work shaped the foundations of what would become CVR.
Carlo
Carlo didn’t arrive at boat building through a straight line. He built his way there.
His journey began at De Gier Yacht Service, where he worked across almost every aspect of vessel maintenance and repair, from welding and painting to engine maintenance, refits and complete vessel revisions. From smaller repairs to major overhauls, it was where his practical foundation was built.
He later joined Habbeke Shipyard, initially working in yacht construction before becoming involved in the maintenance and full restoration of Royal National Police vessels. Working alongside experienced teams, he helped strip vessels back and rebuild them from the ground up, including electrical systems, machinery, engines and other critical components.
After gaining further experience maintaining large scale industrial machinery at Vinilos El Este, Carlo eventually set out on his own.
Through Metalvo, he began crafting bespoke luxury doors and custom staircases, later expanding into high end metalwork across a wider range of projects.
Different industries, different materials and different challenges, but the same foundation remained: precision, problem solving and making things properly.
And eventually, the water kept calling.
CVR Nautical is what came next.
ENGINEERING AS A HERITAGE
The Dutch maritime tradition has always placed engineering, practicality and craftsmanship at the centre of boatbuilding.
That thinking remains part of CVR.
We combine that northern attention to structure and detail with modern fabrication methods and the realities of the Mediterranean, creating vessels intended to be capable, refined and purposeful.
CNC PRECISION
Where possible, precision begins before fabrication.
Digitally prepared and CNC cut components allow complex structures to be produced accurately and consistently, creating a precise foundation for the work that follows.
ALUMINIUM, CHOSEN WITH PURPOSE
CVR works with EN AW-5083 marine grade aluminium, selected for its combination of strength, relatively low weight, corrosion resistance and suitability for welded marine structures.
For us, aluminium isn’t simply a construction material.
It is part of the character of the vessel.
CRAFT IN EVERY SEAM
Behind modern fabrication, there is still something that cannot be automated: the quality of the workmanship.
Our vessels are built around experienced aluminium fabrication and welding expertise, with attention given to the structure, the finish and the details that are often hidden once a boat is complete.

CVR is based in Valencia for a reason.
The Mediterranean offers a distinctive environment for a boat. Intense sunlight and heat, saltwater exposure, long seasons and the short, sometimes steep sea conditions can all make coastal cruising demanding.
Our Dutch maritime background gives us one perspective on how boats should be engineered.
Our Mediterranean home gives us another.
The result is an approach shaped by both.

THE BEGINNING, BY DESIGN
CVR Nautical is not beginning with a production line.
Our first vessels will be built as a limited series of individual projects, allowing us to remain closely involved from the first conversation and initial design through fabrication and delivery.
The First Hull Series represents the beginning of CVR Nautical. A small number of vessels created with the direct attention of the team behind the yard.
For those first owners, that means more than being among the first to own a CVR.
It means being part of where the story begins.
A DIFFERENT STANDARD IN ALUMINIUM
We believe aluminium deserves a place where engineering and luxury are not competing ideas.
Its strength, longevity and structural character make it an exceptional foundation for a vessel. But material alone does not create a great boat.
Design matters.
Craft matters.
Proportion matters.
And so does the way everything comes together.
Our ambition is to build highly individual aluminium vessels that feel as considered as they perform, combining the confidence of serious construction with the refinement expected of a modern luxury boat.
